Carbon is precisely what diamonds are made of. The carbon left behind after the cremation process can be chemically treated to provide the material by which the laboratory can start the diamond making process.
The resultant high quality diamond is then cut and polished in the same way a natural diamond would be.
By a quirk of good fortune, the colour of created diamonds simulates
the rarest of natural gems found in nature, sometimes pink and blue are
produced, but light amber is the usual result.
Only about 25-39 grams of ash (cremains) is needed to produce a most fantastic and high quality diamond of approximately 1 carat weight.
'Memorial Diamonds' are always cut in ROUND. They can be loose or mounted in a pendant or set in a ring.
